Winni Scarf Crochet Pattern

The Winni scarf was designed to have all the style of an asymmetrical scarf with the easy wear of a keyhole scarf. Asymmetrical scarves are a wardrobe staple, but let’s be real, getting it to look “just right” can take some fussing with it. There is no fussing with the Winni Scarf, put it on, pull the long end through the keyhole, tie a knot if you want, or don’t and boom, you’re all set to go.

I also designed it using one of my favorite stitches, the Extended Double Crochet. I love the subtle texture this stitch gives when worked in rows. It reminds me of the waves on the lakes this scarf was named after.

The Yarn!

When I first saw that Lion Brand had come out with an Ombre line I couldn’t wait to get my hands on some of them. And when I saw the colorway Harmoney, I knew I needed to use it in a scarf.

However, if you’d rather wear a more solid color scarf, then I would recommend trying Lion Brand Truboo, Coboo, or even Comfy Cotton. These are all DK weight/Category 3 yarns.

You will also need a size J/10 6.00mm hook. The larger hook size helps this scarf come together quickly, and keeps the scarf from being too warm, so it is a great year-round make. I have also found it helpful to place a stich marker on the non-increase side especially at the beginning before the shape become obvious. Lastly, scissors and a tapestry needle.
